The Motorola RAZR Includes A Wealth Of High End Features

The Motorola RAZR is not only the thinnest smartphone in the world, but it also packs an impressive spec list, despite its slim profile. In this article I will look at some of the premium features of this stylish device.

Screen
The Motorola RAZR has a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED display, which is the same size to those found on the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S2 and HTC Sensation. The pixel resolution of the screen stands at 540x 960, so it will have no problems displaying HD videos whilst being equally at home playing games and viewing photos and web pages. Because the screen uses AMOLED technology, this results in outstanding levels of brightness and wide viewing angles. The screen is also very responsive thanks to the power of the 1.2 GHz Cortex A9 dual-core processor.

Processor
Like many other top end smartphones released over the last year or so, the Motorola RAZR has plenty of processing power, with a 1.2 GHz dual-core chipset. As well as the responsiveness of the touchscreen, the processor is also responsible for the performance of web browsing speeds, the quality of graphics displayed on the screen and the loading and running times of even demanding applications. Because the processor has two cores, multi tasking is also made possible. This means that you can run two or more applications simultaneously, without sacrificing their performance or using extra battery life.

Operating System
The Motorola RAZR runs Android v2.3, the latest version of the smartphone optimised platform also known as Gingerbread. This allows users to customise many aspects of the phone's interface, as well as download a wealth of applications from the Android Market in a similar fashion to the AppStore for Apple devices like the iPhone 4S and iPad 2. The Android platform is well known for its simplistic user experience along with powerful features. Because of the capable hardware found within the device it is likely that the upcoming Android v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS will also be supported when updates are made available.

Camera
Another feature which the Motorola RAZR shares with several high end smartphones is an 8 megapixel camera. This operates at a resolution of 3253x 2448 which means that images are captured within an 8 megapixel resolution. This produces high levels of detail because of the density at which the pixels are formatted. Face detection, image stabilisation, autofocus and an LED flash are all included as part of the package of features, ensuring quality results with minimum effort. Video footage can of course be captured using the Motorola RAZR, with settings of up to 1080p (full HD) included, making it one of the most powerful camera phones available.

The Motorola RAZR is arguably one of the most appealing Android smartphones to be released in recent months. Its capable hardware, renowned Android software and its slim, stylish aesthetics mean it ticks all the boxes.
